In October 2005, Ambi Productions was launched, a music/audio production service specialising in location or studio recordings. Ryan, along with his business partner Shaun, boasts that in the first three months of trading, they have managed a considerable amount of success. Ryan was economically inactive when the Ffatri Fenter was recommended to him by the Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff back in April 2005.
“I didn’t want the business idea to require major costs in order to run and launch it…I didn’t want to take out a £10,000 loan to start the business so Ffatri Fenter was the best available option to help fund the launch…”
Their dedication to the enterprise is one to admire… “We were always confident and dedicated to the cause and spent a lot of time developing the main business idea and a suitable marketing strategy for the company. But we were also aware that the first six months of running a company is the hardest part…”
Following professional support from Ffatri Fenter, they identified the right market and route to follow within the competitive industry. The company is predominantly designed to be a mobile recording facility which also offers a wide range of other services from sound editing to voice-overs. They also came to realise what the important factors of starting a new business were…
“Currently we are using funds so that the advertising and marketing of the company sustain its continuity. Although breaking into the bigger market is harder, we have gained some continuity of sales through local networking.”
Ryan and Shaun have acknowledged that the help they received was a simple process and they appreciate the efficiency. But most importantly, they said that the Ffatri Fenter was true to their word.
