Context/Strategic Fit / Taste of Enterprise / How we Recruit Clients / Marketing Campaigns
Parentpreneurs (Winter 2005 - Spring 2006)
Targeting parents with young children by encouraging them to pilot a business idea during their maternity / paternity leave. A leaflet had been developed especially for this target market using inspiring case study strories of present Ffatri Fenter clients who are young parents themselves. A stress toy had also been produced following the 'Blue Cow' theme. Existing networks were used to distribute materials, e.g nursery organisations 'Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin' and TWF.
Poster and beermats - Pubs (Summer - Autumn 2005)
Following the 'Blue Cow' theme, this campaign was used to target specific geographical areas. Posters were also distributed to local shops, offices and leisure centres in the same towns/communities.
'Careers' Adverts (Autumn - Spring 2006)
The advertisement was featured in several papers across Wales.
Attendance at Shows and Festivals (Ongoing)
Ffatri Fenter Regional Development Officers attend shows and festivals across Wales representing the project on Menter a Busnes corporate stand at events such as the Winter Fair, Royal Welsh Show, National Eisteddfodau, Pembrokeshire Show, Anglesey Show. On average 20% of all enquiries received by Menter a Busnes at the Royal Welsh Show are directed to the Ffatri Fenter.
Public Sector Campaign (Spring 2006)
As many Objective l projects are ending in December, we have been actively encouraging employees in the sector to pilot a business idea along side their current work commitments. We promoted this by selling the benefits of being on the programme and the fact that they would be well equipped to make an informed decision whether self-employment is for them.
Private Sector Campaign (Spring - Summer 2006)
Through targeting employees with transferable skills that could be used to start their own business, and earn more money for themselves than they would by working for someone else. We encouraged them to pilot their business idea ensuring that they maintained a work-life balance whilst also earning extra money.
