Launch of the Ffatri Fenter Office in Holyhead

The Ffatri Fenter has now opened the doors to its new office in Holyhead within the Town Hall in Newry Street. As well as being able to hold one-to-one meetings and workshops at the new base, there will be an opportunity for current and new clients to exhibit their work to the public in the Town Hall, providing an increase in marketing and sales opportunities. The Ffatri Fenter will have display cabinets in the Town Hall and in the office itself. A successful launch was held December 20th, with Town and County Councillors having the opportunity to discuss with Ffatri Fenter clients, their new businesses. 2 businesses succeeded to attract new business as a direct result of the launch. The new businesses that were trading were:- Chris Davies – Computerly Clean –Cleaning of Office/business equipment. Yaron a Carli Thau – Bron 2 Late – Leather work for war re-enactment Krisy Mills – Krisy – Hairdressing and Make up businesses. Michael Hughes – Lobster Potting - Lobster Potting. Karl Power – Interior Designer.

Opening of a New Office in Holyhead

Our new Ffatri Fenter office has opened its doors in Holyhead within the Town Council offices. As well as being able to hold one to one meetings and workshops, there will be an opportunity for current and new clients to exhibit their work to the public in the Council Chambers, providing an increase in marketing and sales opportunities. It will be open to any young person in Anglesey who has an interest in starting a business or has a definite business idea. Clients will have access to IT resources, the internet as well as having a permanent base to meet one of our team or a quiet place to work to develop their business idea. Assistance to the young in rural Anglesey

The Ffatri Fenter held a workshop with Llangoed Young Farmers Club to promote entrepreneurship. The group were given specific tasks to complete with regard to self-employment. Good strong ideas were discussed such as community gardening, cake stall and a whist drive. An enjoyable evening was had all round.

Focus Group Llangefni

A focus group was held at The Bull Hotel in Llangefni its purpose being to gauge opinions and attitudes of young people towards living and working on Anglesey. Four other similar workshops will take place across the Island over the coming weeks in Amlwch, Holyhead, Beaumaris and Newborough. If you are interested in attending or know of someone that would like to contribute to this discussion please contact Catrin Jones on 01248 672691. Eligibility to participate is that you have to be aged between 18 and 30 and living on Anglesey.

Anglesey Agricultural Show

The wet weather didn’t put a dampener on the show this year, with thousands flocking through the gates. The Ffatri Fenter team attended which was a good opportunity to not only promote the project and meet new people, but also to catch up with familiar faces from Anglesey and beyond.

Gwyndaf Evans Workshop

A very successful workshop was held at Llangefni in June where Gwyndaf Evans, rally driver, successful business man and television commentator met a group of motor vehicle students to share his experiences of starting up his business. Gwyndaf was greeted enthusiastically by the students, and everyone wanted to learn more about how he built his business whilst also having a successful rallying career. The workshop was a great inspiration to the students, showing them that anybody can set up their own business with the right guidance and determination.
